KateLyn (Katie) Syphus earned a Masters Degree in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from Utah Tech University. She has experience in many different capacities as a collaborative musician, including pit orchestras, symphony orchestras, chamber groups, and session work. She is also a music educator and teaches violin and piano at her home studio. She loves working with other musicians and is blessed to do so often.
Katie met her husband Shaun, a pianist, in St. George, Utah. They have three young children who are as rambunctious as they are sweet. They currently reside in Provo, Utah while Shaun attends PA school. Aside from being a stay-at-home mom, Katie is currently a violinist in the Orchestra at Temple Square, a freelance violinist, and is the Director of Development of Lux Choral Society. She feels lucky for the opportunity to work as both a performer and an administrator in the music world.
