Janice Vincent, Fall Workshop Chair

UntitledJanice Vincent, Past President of Utah ASTA, has a musical career of more than 30 years, having taught at such institutions as Utah Valley University, Brigham Young University, Southern Virginia University, and Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. As a freelance violinist, she has performed with the Roanoke Symphony, Opera Roanoke, University Shenandoah Symphony, Utah Symphony, Utah Opera, Opera West, Ballet West, and Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It has been her pleasure to perform with such artists as Quincy Jones, James Ingram, Patty Austin, Debbie Reynolds, Ann Murray, Natalie Cole, The Moody Blues, and David Sanborn. Over the years she has participated in countless film scores and music projects of all flavors in the recording studio and on the stage, while offering solo recitals in Utah, Washington, and Virginia. Currently she directs the orchestra and choir programs at Karl G. Maeser Preparatory Academy in Lindon, Utah and serves on the UMEA Orchestra Committee while maintaining an active private studio and performing life, and making time for husband, six kids and spouses, and soon-to-be four grandchildren.
